A Christmas Carol comes to Theatre by the Lake in Keswick from Friday 13 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. This lively new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ festive classic combines ghostly storytelling, original songs and live music in a family-friendly production.
A festive theatre experience beside Derwentwater
Ebenezer Scrooge has made his fortune away from his hometown of Keswick, but has little affection for Christmas. When an unexpected visitor from his past appears, a series of supernatural encounters offers him a chance to reconsider what really matters. Theatre by the Lake and Goblin bring the story to life with a company of actor-musicians, creating an atmospheric seasonal show for visitors and local families.
