About Cedar Manor
Cedar Manor combines a Victorian country-house setting with individually decorated interiors and locally crafted furniture. Gardens, a terrace and shared lounges give you space to slow down between days out in the Lakes.
Its Windermere location makes it a useful base for exploring the village, heading towards the lakeshore or planning walks in the surrounding countryside. Return for a drink in the residents’ bar or settle into a quiet corner of the lounge.
Rooms and suites
The hotel has ten rooms and suites, each with its own design and a name inspired by a local landmark. Options range from a compact double to larger suites, with different bed styles, views and bathroom layouts.
Some rooms have four-poster beds; selected rooms and suites have spa baths. Twin arrangements are available in certain accommodation. Compare the individual room details before choosing, particularly if you need ground-floor accommodation or a particular bathroom layout.

Breakfast and afternoon tea
Breakfast features Cumbrian produce and dishes cooked to order. Afternoon tea brings sandwiches, scones, cakes and desserts to the dining room, lounge or terrace, depending on the setting and weather.
Book afternoon tea in advance and discuss dietary requirements with the hotel. Cedar Manor does not currently serve lunch or dinner, so plan evening meals at restaurants in Windermere, Bowness or the surrounding area.
Before you book
Check the exact room, inclusions and cancellation terms for your chosen rate. Arrange afternoon tea separately unless it is included in your package, and confirm any access requirements directly with the hotel.
Cedar Manor does not accommodate children under ten. Extra-bed arrangements depend on the suite and the guest’s age. Confirm the hotel’s current policies before booking.
