What Is Happening at Coniston Festive Fayre?
Christmas artisan market: 10am–4.30pm
The festive market is set to feature 22 indoor stalls inside Coniston Institute and four outdoor stalls on the walkway outside. It’s an opportunity to browse artisan gifts and support independent traders in the run-up to Christmas.
Santa’s Grotto: 10am–noon
Santa’s Grotto is scheduled for the morning. The event listing advises families to book a time to see Santa, so don’t assume walk-in availability. Check the organiser’s festive fayre website for booking information and charges.
Festive afternoon teas
Coniston WI will be serving festive afternoon teas in the Reading Room next to the Institute. This could be a welcome stop between browsing stalls and enjoying the village celebrations.
Children’s party: 1pm–3pm
A children’s party is planned at Coniston Sports and Social Club. Check the organiser’s updates for any entry or booking requirements.
Lantern parade: 3pm
The lantern parade is due to travel from the Sports and Social Club to Coniston Institute at 3pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Allow a little time to find a suitable viewing spot.
Choir carol singing: 3pm–4pm
Festive choir singing is scheduled from 3pm to 4pm, bringing traditional Christmas atmosphere to the village.
Evening quizzes and live music
Visitors staying later can look out for a family quiz at The Yewdale Inn from around 4–4.30pm, a festive quiz at The Sun Inn at 7pm, and live music at The Crown Inn. Check directly with venues for any changes or booking arrangements.

The village may be busier than usual, so arrive early and follow parking signs rather than relying on finding a space immediately beside the Institute.
