The creative culinary staff, led by Head Chef Paul Williamson, aims to deliver high-quality meals in a comfortable setting. Kirkstile is more than just a wonderful event. We feel that a wonderful night out with home cooked meals should be reasonably priced. Traditional delicacies such as Lakeland Steak and Ale Pie and slow cooked Lamb Shank are available all year. Fresh fish and Cumbrian chicken are frequently included on our daily specials menu. Look for meals like Sticky Toffee Pudding or Baked Chocolate and Orange Pudding to satiate your sweet taste.

In addition, on Sundays, we always offer two roasts.

Our legendary bar is often crowded and has a terrific vibe! Inside are low-beamed rooms with comforting open fireplaces, delicious cuisine, willing and cheerful service, and the same genuine hospitality that has always distinguished a fine English Inn.

The Beer Garden is also one of the best in the Lakes!

We offer an excellent wine list that comprises 13 wines by the glass. We also have a large selection of gins, whiskies, and other spirits.

Our own brewery always has a range of authentic ales available, including the award-winning Loweswater Gold. Other beers offered on a rotating basis include Langdale, Esthwaite Bitter, and Vanilla Oatmeal Stout.
