The Daffodil Hotel and Spa provides modern elegance on the banks of Grasmere water, in the heart of The Lake District and only a short walk from Grasmere village. Every morning, a full English breakfast is given, and there is free Internet throughout the property.
The Daffodil Hotel and Spa’s rooms are elegant and spacious, with flat-screen TVs and media panels, en suite bathrooms with complimentary Molton Brown amenities, premium crisp cotton bedding, ironing facilities, and still bottled water.
Visitors at The Daffodil may also enjoy the hotel’s deluxe spa, which has Germaine De Capuccini treatments and products, a 10-yard thermal pool, steam room, sauna, and tepidarium. Spa treatments can be arranged in advance.
The Daffodil’s restaurant offers a typical British fare with a contemporary touch. The dining room and the Sitting Room, where afternoon tea is served, both have lake views. In addition, the home offers a lovely patio where you may enjoy the nice weather.
Combining stylish contemporary interiors inside, with stunning natural beauty outside, The Daffodil presents a concept brand new to The Lake District.

We would love to welcome day Spa visitors and non-residents to The Daffodil and have designed some luxurious packages with this in mind. After all, everyone deserves some indulgent pampering!
Our thermal pool will be different than any other you have experienced (it’s nothing like a swimming pool!). Whether you have tired legs from walking the surrounding fells or simply need some time off from the hectic lives we all lead, our thermal pool is the perfect tonic as you move from each section, allowing the water jets to target different areas of the body.
Whether you prefer the earthy aromas of the sauna or the revitalising atmosphere of our steam room, indulge in them both at our Spa. It is large enough to accommodate you and your friends, but not so small that you can’t glow in peace.
At the Spa at The Dafodil, we are great believers in a bit of ‘you’ time, so unwind and while a way an hour or two in our tepidarium. Let tepid air induce your relaxation and comfort prior to or post therapy, we don’t even mind if you just fancy a quick snooze. Please note the tepidarium is only available for guests booking treatments.
With lake views as far as the eye can see, the Dining Room, Lounge and Lakeside Terrace offer a stylish, contemporary, yet relaxed dining experience like no other.
Relax in our brand new city chic Lobby Bar for a choice of small plates, a coffee, cocktails or Champagne.
“A great meal is not one that just fills you up. A great meal is a journey that returns you to sources of pleasure you may have forgotten and takes you to places you haven’t been before.” Chef, Thomas Keller.
A creative kitchen team and innovative Executive Chef can only mean one thing – fantastic locally sourced menus designed with the season in mind, guaranteed to surprise and delight…
Our first floor restaurant, The Dining Room, benefits from stunning views of Grasmere lake from every window and the contemporary menu on offer provides the perfect Lake District dining experience with a modern twist.
The walls are dotted with portraits of famous faces taken from the National Portrait Gallery and are organised into three themes: popular celebrities, the 1960s, and people who made us laugh. We hope you enjoy the company!
