Built to be tough and cope with poor weather the Terra Ranger S is an eco-friendly advanced mirror compass from Silva. The mirror helps you to see the background and the compass dial at the same time which makes it easier to take precise bearings and is great for use in open terrain. The Terra series of compass is made from REVO material. REVO is made from recycled polymers mixed with hemp plant fibres with 90% less carbon emissions than ordinary plastics to reduce environmental impact. The mirror lid and graduation ring on the Terra Expedition S compass is made from REVO material.
The flexible, soft, detachable lanyard has two scales on it for you to use 1:25 and 1:50, so you can place it directly over your route and measure distances. The luminous, light activated, markings make the compass markings easy to use in low light levels or at night keeping you safe. The rubber grip makes handling the Terra Ranger S amazingly easy even when it is cold or wet. The Ranger S compass includes a declination scale and measuring GPS scales of 1:25 and 1:50.
