South Cumbria Venues Given New Food Hygiene Scores

NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 13 establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants and cafes:

• Rated 5: The Moon Highgate at 129 Highgate, Kendal; rated on April 22

• Rated 5: Kitchen at The Shop, The Square, Hawkshead; rated on April 18

• Rated 5: The Pub at Kendal Road, Windermere; rated on April 17

• Rated 5: Waterlily at 1 Market Square, Kirkby Lonsdale; rated on April 17

• Rated 5: Cafe Altitude at 101 Lake Road, Ambleside; rated on April 16

• Rated 5: carelink community meals at Emmanuel Christian Centre, Mill Street, Ulverston; rated on April 12

• Rated 5: Lakes Hotel and Spa at Kendal Road, Windermere; rated on March 26

• Rated 5: Ramble at 37 Stramongate, Kendal; rated on March 26

• Rated 5: The Ro Hotel at Helm Road, Bowness On Windermere; rated on January 23

And three ratings have been handed to pubs:

• Rated 5: The Queens Head Inn and Restaurant at Queens Head, Main Street, Hawkshead; rated on April 18

• Rated 5: The Wheatsheaf at Brigsteer, Kendal; rated on April 2

• Rated 5: Churchills Wine Bar at Robinson Place, Bowness On Windermere; rated on March 26

Plus one rating for a takeaway:

• Rated 4: Olympic at 87-89 Buccleuch Street, Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria; rated on March 19
